In the accessibility menu it's an option to turn off swiping to answer calls. But it's not working I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong. I should be able to just tap to answer.

As far as I can tell, you can only change that to using the volume up button to answer and the side (power off/on) button to hang up.

It's farther inside the settings where it says interaction and dexterity. Then assistant menu.

You wanna make sure you have the button/icon enabled or the tap to answer won't work. Then enable the icon as an Edge Icon and you can change the size and transparency if you don't want it visible on your screen. But it either has to be an Edge Icon or a shortcut on your screen for tap to answer.
I use the edge icon and have the transparency in the middle because I like being able to see it. It also will change color depending on the theme your using. I hope this made sense, I've enclosed some screenshots as well.Screenshot_20220422-170011_Accessibility_29729_1650664811.jpgScreenshot_20220422-170042_Accessibility_29731_1650664842.jpg

So, it doesn't work directly using the app answering the calls?

No sorry. You have to have the icon enabled or the shortcut for the tap to answer to work even for calls

I figured it out and was able to hide the icon too.
