Galaxy S23The toggle for manage notification categories is in settings/notifications/advanced settings and NOT in settings/advanced features. Follow the pictures above.
I don't know why Google had to go and make it so difficult. Categories or no, you used to be able to set the default notification sound in the app settings. One menu deep, not six.

Galaxy S23Again, close google messages, THEN go to settings (outside of google messages, in the same place you get to your device's settings, like software updates, etc) This will be there so long as you have updated to One UI 6.1.
