Edge Panel Clipboard won't allow pin or individual deletes

I use the clipboard in the Edge panel very often. I pin things and also delete individual items (like passwords). Today I only have "COPY" under each item. The pushpin icon (pin) and trashcan icon (delete entry) are suddenly missing!

There's a big "CLEAR" button at the bottom, but that's all-or-nothing. When you click that it even says "delete all unpinned items", but there's now no way to pin anything?!

You have to long press the item you want to pin or delete and the pin and trashcan will come up

It is an issue with how you have that contact stored as I had the same thing happen to me! Go to your contact that won't stay on edge, see where all you have them stored by clicking on storage setting at the bottom of the contact and if there's an email on there along with "this device"...delete the email storage option. Then go back & try adding it to the edge again, it should go on w/no problem.
