How do I change the voice my alarm "read time aloud" is in? With the last update it changed to a male voice after having been a female voice for the past decade.  It's triggering me.

It's convoluted and inconvenient, but you can change the voice.

Pick an alarm that you have set to speak aloud. Go into the settings for it and toggle "Read time and alarm name aloud" off and back on. You should see a dialog as shown in my screenshot. Tap where it says Settings.

Under "Preferred engine", tap the gear icon.

On your default language, tap the gear icon.

Choose which voice you want. Unfortunately they're not labeled as to which ones are male and which are female. I can tell you that for English (US), Default voice 1 is female. 🙂

I would like to know why it's not an option. I don't like the male voice either!

Do you have that option? Have a screenshot? I don't have it on the S24U. Generally, you go to what is used to read it aloud.
If it uses Bixby you change that voice ect.

There is no screenshot bc it is internal. If you use the samsung clock, and alarm that came standard on the phone, and don't use Bixby, there is no option to choose a voice- only to read aloud or not

I don't have an option to read aloud. You should be able to take a screenshot inside the app. Where are you seeing the setting? 1712934894072_1712934894067_0.jpg

When you set an alarm, click the sound, it's there at the bottom.
