Lock button on lock screen not working

I have extend unlock for trusted places on. Earlier I would lock my phone, but it will be unlocked because of extend unlock, but pressing the lock button on top would lock the phone and ask for password or fingerprint. With oneUI 6.1 update I am no longer able to do so.

Are you long pressing the lock on the top of the screen

Was used to short press before. Didn't know it was changed to long press. Thanks.

Sorry, not solved.  I have been holding the . key and the * key down on long hold but it doesn't repeat.  I don't know what's going on.

Still stumped,  Wendyh

You hold the Lock for a couple secs and the phone will be locked

It wont repeat holding down the . key or * key if you want multiple you have to tap it multiple times
