My carrier, T-Mobile had a large area wide shut down today. While down. I noticed all(approximately 100) of my contacts were missing except for 17
Of the 17 remaining:
Some were from many phones/years ago, that were not there before the outage.
Some were contacts entered recently.
Some were long time contacts.
I tried restore, and nothing, my backup Google account only shows 17. Nothing to restore from Sim card, v file.
I searched for hidden, toggled to "show hidden" and nothing.
I tried to clear contacts cache, nothing.
Restarted and cleared phone cache, nothing
Internal storage shows Contacts app at 12.96 MB, not sure if that is germane, none of my contacts have pictures. Just seems like a lot for 17 contacts, and gives me hope my contacts are somewhere.
I am at my wits end, there are important numbers on there.
Thank you soooooo much. Samsung agent was incredible, he remote accessed my phone, tried everything I had already tried, I was losing hope. Then he had me change my default phone to Google and Voila! All contacts restored.
I hope anyone else that has the same issue I did can use this post to help.
