New messages update big NO

Anyone else having issues with your new messages app making like 12 other chats one for each person including yourself for each person to respond in individual messages but together...? I don't even know how to explain it but it's making a new group for every text someone sends🤦🏼‍:female_sign: HELP. or who do I contact..?

Whatever the new Google one is yes. Individual chats seem to be fine but my group chats are so **bleep** up now. Samsung messages creates new group chats with the same people all the time. I have 1 group chat with 2 other people (both use Google messaging) and I must have had 10+ new group chats created with them since this started happening.

tap your profile picture 

messages settings 

advanced

click on group messages makes sure everything is on

The only problem I am having with group chats is that they exist at all.

Hate new update!!! It changed way too many settings. No longer recognizes punctuation when spoken. Keyboard.
Clicking sound when typing. Loss of emoji.....c'mon you can do better.
