Photos & videos keeps stopping

I keep getting a "photos & videos keeps stopping" error when trying to attach a photo to emails. Not sure when this started, perhaps after the recent update.... not sure. Anyone else having this issue? I've tried clearing my galleries cache, force stopping gallery, restarted my phone. Tried installing new gallery apps (I hate them, they all have ads) still no help. No matter what I do or have tried, I still get the error. 

Edut: The so called accepted solution is NOT a solution. I never accepted that as s solution or said it worked.

Exactly!!!!! Recent access it, and I'm pretty sure it started after the most recent software update

I ultimately had to factory reset my phone after contacting support. There's no way to clear cache for the hidden "Photos & Videos" system app. So the only option is a factory reset. But it works for me now.

same issue here. the only app that lets me attach something from my gallery is whatsapp right now. very frustrating, is samsung doing anything about this?

I'm getting the same issue with my S20 FE, but only for select apps.

i.e. I'm able to upload pics using IM apps (Messenger, Insta, etc), but can't access photos via wallet apps (Google Pay, SuperCards, etc).

Only started occuring since the recent phone update...pretty frustrating

I face this issue with chrome on my device A14 

But when I use Samsung internet,  I can upload images easily 

I think this issue occurs after system software update
