Galaxy S23@Veltix We generally keep the phones 2 years and haven't noticed any issue with the battery after using super fast charging daily.

Galaxy S23Also, charging the phone to 100% fullness, whether thru fast charging or slow, will damage to battery over time as well. So utilizing the Battery Protection feature is advised.

Galaxy S23@Dan2023 Technically a case can be made for not charging it to 100%. But we always charge to 100% and have had no detectable battery loss. This is based on usage of multiple devices for many, many years.

Galaxy S23There's a catch in this practice of ending the charging at 80%.
Just notice the two use patterns given below:
A. User 1 charges battery upto 100% for 4 times which gives him a standby of 4 days.
B. User 2 decides to charge his battery not beyond 80%. So,to get standby of 4 days ,he has to charge his batery at least 5 times.
So, you see,if you go for charging protection, you will end up charging yiur phone more often, compared to someone who charges his phone up to 100%.
How more often will you charge compared to him?
Simple maths, you will charge at least 90 times more in a year if you go for charging protection.
So in 2 years you will charge 180 times more.
Now tell me.Do you think charging 180 times more will not harm your battery.
In my opinion,in both usage patterns, the battery will lose its capacity almost the same.
So charging protection will not help much I think.
Prove me wrong with logic or with data.
