S23 Disabled

Bought this phone from a third-party in March 2023. I received this message a month later. 

This device is disabled because it was reported as lost, stolen, or has an outstanding balance due to failure to meet trade-in terms. If purchased from Samsung.com check the email used at the time of purchase for an email sent by Samsung for the next steps. If didn't purchase this device from Samsung.com, please return the device to the place of purchase.

I checked that it wasn't stolen and it isn't. i think it may be from the trade-in issue.

Is there anything Samsung can do to help me?

Can I pay for it to get it unlocked?

Can Samsung Support reply to this?

@dg42 You would need to get this cleared up by the 3rd party that you bought it from.

So, more than likely they still owe money on the phone or it is stolen.

Samsung tutor app should be able to answer all your question bcuz they literally ask your permission to get in your phone. A tech does that if you use that app.if the phone

In what way is lock? Password /screen lock it e-mail lock? It can be unlock depends how is lock

The quoted text appears with the passkey and imei #. there's a pin entry box. theres also a Call Samsung, Support and Emergency call option. No other functionality.
