S23 Duplicate Apps

Even when I got my S23 new, 2 years ago, it had duplicate apps. If I install an app it duplicates that as well. To remove them, Samsung site says to long press on duplicate app icon, and then press remove. When I long press on a duplicate app icon, there is no option to Remove, only 

Uninstall or Create Folder. If I select Uninstall, it uninstalls duplicate app AND thd original.

Yes...and I hate that if it is a Feature. Never liked this phone.

Dual Messenger is not on. This phone has been like this for 2 years.
