S23: Whatsapp Lagging / Not functioning properly

I'm am so frustrated beyond belief. Ever since the latest update, my whatsapp has been lagging very badly. I have it down to when a certain thing happens. While I am typing a message, and a new whatsapp notification arrives, it starts freezing/lagging /mistyping. I have done : Wipe partition cache. Start WhatsApp from fresh. Meaning no messages no chat history etc, fresh install of WhatsApp. Funny enough the repair apps option in the boot menu does nothing.

Same issue on my S24 Ultra, but only more recently since an update I think.
I have just started using my laptop for Whatsapp as it's unusable. On their newest flagship..
I see Samsung haven't bothered to comment here. Does anyone know if they have any interest in addressing this issue!

Turn off your notification history in your phone settings. Inform me if it works

I agree Samsung didn't care to respond to this issue. It's seems customer care is not important in Samsung.

Turn off your notification history. Worked for me. Had to go through a lot to figure it out.

Same here on S22+ since a month or so, incredibly frustrating and makes me switch to other messangers. Samsung fix it!!!
