I took about 30 consecutive photos with 1.5x zoom mode on my Galaxy S23 Ultra, but suddenly, all the photos started showing a colorful glare on the left edge. All the photos exhibited the same issue. Do you know anything about this issue? Is it possible that my phone is defective? Fortunately, the issue seemed to have resloved after readjusting the zoom, but it was a concerning experience.

Hello, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern with the colorful glare using the 1.5x zoom. There are some steps to try to correct this. We recommend testing the camera at the 1.5x zoom after each step.

1. Clear the app cache for the camera. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/

2. Reset Camera settings.

In the Camera app’s main screen, tap on the gear icon located in the upper-left corner.

Scroll down to the bottom section and then tap Reset settings then confirm action by tapping Reset on the pop-up window.

3. Clear the cache partition and repair apps in the recovery menu.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.

4. Back up and reset the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
