My Samsung Health app keeps stopping counting the steps and I have to restart my phone to get it to start again. Why is it doing that and how do I get it to stop?

Well try to install the application then reinstall it, or to deactivate it then reactivate it, you can also empty the cache and all the storage of the application in its settings šŸ¤”

The issue with Samsung Health not counting steps could be due to:

1. Battery optimization settings: The app may be restricted in the background.

2. Outdated software: The app or phone's software may need an update.

3. Corrupted cache: App data may be causing performance issues.

4. Permissions: The app might not have proper access to sensors.
...
1. Disable battery optimization for Samsung Health: Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Battery > Optimize battery usage, and turn off optimization.

2. Update both Samsung Health and your phone's software.

3. Clear cache: Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Storage > Clear cache.

4. Ensure the app has all necessary permissions under Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Permissions.

If the issue persists, reinstall Samsung Health.

Have you tested your device in safe mode? If your phone stops counting steps, a third-party app may be causing the issue. You can use the Safe Mode feature to figure out what app is causing this symptom. In Safe Mode, your phone won't run any third-party apps, allowing you to quickly identify and remove the app causing the problem.

Give this link a try to test your device in safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
If you are still experiencing this problem. We would recommend that you submit an Error Report by following the directions below. This way, the problem can be addressed in future updates.
