Galaxy S23Hello, Welcome to the Community. We understand how frustrating it can be when your phone screen will not time out. It is possible there may be an app running in the background.
Try placing your phone in Safe Mode and see if the screen timeout works correctly. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/ If the screen times out in Safe Mode, you will need to determine which app is causing the issue. We recommend starting with the most recently installed apps.
If the phone does not time out in Safe Mode, the next step is to clear the cache partition and repair apps in the recovery menu.
