USB-A to USB-C data transfer not working on Galaxy S23 FE

I have USB-A to USB-C data transfer cable that I used with Honor phone. Data transfer worked fine with Honor. I have also used this cable for data trasfer on Galaxy A34 without issues.

For some reason I cannot transfer my files on Galaxy S23FE. Charging works OK.

My computer does not have USB-C port.

Help please.

You should try wireless in Samsung Smart switch

Many thanks for your suggestion. My understanding is that Samsung Smart Switch is for transferring data between Samsung devices.

I wanted to download photos/videos to my desktop computer.

couldn't you just..save to Google photos And download from other device..?

No it actually works on other devices but you have to install it as an apk

Purchased USB A 3.0 to USB C adaptor.

Used USB C to USB C Samsung cable.

All now working including file transfer.
