You would have to have the phone reflashed with factory firmware. A factory reset won't do it because Verizon turns too many controls off. However, that being said, once unlocked you should be able to uninstall any unwanted Verizon apps. A factory reset will do that, but the Verizon startup logo will remain, and stunted controls may remain. You'd also have to set up your phone completely from scratch.
