Android Auto on my phone stopped working after the November update on my S24 Ultra. When I connect my phone via the USB cable as I used to, my car's screen says: "No Android device detected."

However, when I connect my wife's S23 Ultra, which has the same latest version of Android Auto, it works with her phone.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I am using the one that I have been using so far, before the November update. I have changed three different cables.
I don't think that the problem is with the cable.

looks like s24 uses a different cord now. not sure what exactly is different but s24 isn't listed in many of the others.

I have four cables, one from Logitech, one from Baseus, and two others. All of them were compatible with Android Auto before the November update.

This may not be applicable but it's a thought: do you use VPN?

I had a panic case last week where I was driving in an area I don't frequent & had to detour due to an accident. Couldn't get Android Auto to load up on my S24 Ultra & ultimately realized it was b/c my VPN was on (had only recently started using).

The thing is: by default I use a wireless tether to connect my phone for Android Auto. I know at some point I found the USB cord to plug... But since I was panicking thru the ordeal I'm not sure whether VPN blocked JUST my wireless tether or also the USB connection. Once I turned it off, Android Auto worked & I was using USB cord. Again: just a thought. Hope you get this figured out either way!

If you havent already checked this go into settings under security and privacy, look for auto blocker and make sure maximum settings are not turned on. This can block android auto from working when you plug in the usb cable between your phone and car. Hope this helps.
