Camera scanner

What happened to camera scanner? I used to be able to scan all pictures, even without any text like my kids art or old printed photos. Now it only looks for documents with text. There is no manual scan mode. Even if I'm able to scan, it will now say "no text detected" and dismiss the scan. Another update that made the tool worst. I can scan everything I want with cloud tools like Google drive or Microsoft one drive, and bunch others, but not with bult in camera like before. It was so convinient. Please bring it back or tell me how to do what I need. Thanks!

Did it have any text on it? I have no problem scanning documents/pictures with text even if non-english. Scanner stops working as soon as there is no detectable text. I even some times trick it to first point at documents with text and quickly swap and click scan and manually adjust corners, but it just become too annoying

I'll give you that. After ten tries, different angles, and quick clicking, I was able to scan it. That's my point exactly. Scanner only works if it detects scannable object, and sometimes it's very tricky and frustrating. It would be much better if there was a scan tool that you can activate manually. It used to work much better, but the last update changed it.

I understand I just installed this and it seems to work good from my test images it may have ads

And watermark. I used to use that. Google drive have great scanner that is build in. It works great it's just extra steps to later upload the scans. With the camera scanner, the picture is automatically backed up to Google Photos where I have different albums for stuff. It's just very quick and convenient.

Yeah I didn't notice the watermark on mine I just tested it out to see if it would work quickly.  Im not sure why yours isn't working perfectly
