Cannot hear notification sounds

I was in the process of changing ringtone and notification sounds. The ringtone was changed but I cannot hear any notification sounds to change them. All notification sound levels are set to 'high'. Anyone else have this issue ?

Is it a specific app or on all apps? Also is this on? Let us know

All sound levels are on. Suddenly it started working again.....odd. But thank you for the reply .
