Hello,

I am experiencing an issue where my phone is connected to my wifi network but apps won't load. It's not specific apps, they vary at times. I have an eero mesh system. I read many examples of users reporting the same thing with different mesh systems but I cannot find the solution. It's occurring once or twice a week. To resolve it, I have been turning wifi on my phone off and then back on.

My girlfriend and I have went from various phones including pixel 3xl to 6/6a and iphone 15. None had this issue. Assistance is appreciated. I am hoping for a solution that doesn't require any changes to the routers as all of our other devices are working fine.

@Jofraneel We use an Eero mesh network. We have no issues downloading apps on our Samsung devices, one of which is an S24 Ultra.

It would help if you would identify some apps which are having the issue.

It's not always the same apps. Most recently I went to the Samsung members app(this app) to research more about this issue and it wasn't loading. Then I opened the ookla speed test app which wasn't loading. But other apps at other times don't work. I turned off the wifi and back on and both the apps worked. It's not consistently the same app that isn't working. My best guess is when I'm moving around the house and the phone connects to a different node, I start having issues.

@Jofraneel Another solution might be to power your phone off and on. This will reset the connection info on the phone and also at the access point.

I find sometimes that on the eero network a device will be having a slower download speed. Resetting the device restores the download speed that I expect.

I've restarted the phone from time to time. Most recently today. I read a possible solution about turning off precise location and wifi scanning. I think I've messed with those settings before and the issue came back after some time. We'll see how long before I lose connection again. I think it's too coincidental that both my girlfriends phone and mine are having the same problem. Also recently purchased an s21 which has the same issue. Although the problem we have isn't with a specific app, all 3 of these phones are having the same experience. Overall we do like the phones and were thinking about switching our primary phones from iPhone to our s24 ultras. This issue is giving us pause.
