Is there is a way to delete or don't use the "Recent" folder, where all pictures are saved twice?

Isn't that duplicating the amount of space used for pictures?

Your photos are not being saved twice.  The "recents" folder just lets you know which are your most recently accessed or taken photos.  It is not a real album.  Once you move a picture to an album, it is located in that album and will remain showing in "recents" because you recently accessed it. Eventually your next taken or accessed photo will take its place.  If you delete a photo from the "recents" folder, you will be deleting the actual photo from your phone.  Do not worry, the "recents" "folder" is not taking up any additional space in your phone's storage, nor is it duplicating your photos. You can't hide it and it will always be visible.

Oh, I stand corrected. You can actually hide the "recents" folder by selecting the 3-dot menu and selecting "select essential albums" and choosing the albums you want to show and not selecting recents. You will still be able to view all your albums any time by tapping "view all"
