Barely 2 months and the Samsung adapter I had to buy is already dead. Not the cables as they work in my charge station.

Does leaving the brick plugged into an outlet cause them to fail when the phone isn't plugged in?

I think it is the last model and not the current model as it looks a little larger or longer. Model ep-ta800.

Anyone have suggestions on a different brand in the 25w range that's better? Not sure I want to buy another Samsung adapter.

My charge station would suffice on the USB-C output but that only charges at around 6w versus 18w with the Samsung 25w, the Motorola puts out around 3w according to Battery Guru app.

I gave no problems with mine you stated it's still plugged in when not charging that could be a problem best advice after it's done charging remove completely from outlet

Might have to do that in the future. I am leaning towards Anker now, not sure I can trust another Samsung adapter.

Anker a alternative but if you continue to keep plugged in it may be same problem also slight change in habit will be good

Anker makes great products. They are my go to chargers, especially since most of their chargers have foldable prongs. You shouldn't have to unplug from the wall outlet.

I hope so, I just ordered a 2 pack from Ankerdirect on eBay. They seem to get good reviews on Amazon for the most part but there are a few that say theirs went dead after a few weeks. I just didn't know if I could trust another Samsung.

It is possible I got a knockoff because I tried registering it at Samsung and I need 15 digits for the serial number and the charger only shows a 14 digit on the charger. I did add a 0 for the 15 digit and funny thing the charger shows up on my product page but it says not registered because I don't have the correct number. Not sure if it is genuine. I tried researching fake chargers and from what could tell it should be genuine so not sure I got a faulty one, who knows.

I got a good deal from Anker for two that was actually less than just one Samsung brick so I do have a second one as backup if one fails. Not sure what I will do next if they both fail.

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.
