Hello, thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Community. The feature is working as expected, as it'll be at 100% by the time you wake up, it just slows charging between certain hours. The only way it stops at a certain percentage is if it is set to maximum setting.
I use the manual setting for brightness and turn off adaptive brightness also use the forgot name now Clearview or something like that turns off blue light screen brightness can be tricky to get right
