Is there anyway to get it switched from holding on a word to highlight it, to double tapping on a word instead like every other Oem? Double tapping a SINGULAR WORD in a text should highlight it and NOT tapping and holding it.

@usero7pkbscDVM What OEMs are you describing? The holding on a word is used by the Android OS. So Pixels, and other phones based on Android use this process.
There's also a very little known about feature on the Samsung keyboard where you can put the cursor somewhere, and then tap that little four arrow almost like a d-pad looking button and then you can use the arrows to select letters and then you can hit copy and stuff like that.
