Galaxy S24 Ultra constant notification to set up Google Messages?

Hello! I keep getting a notification on my phone to setup Google messages. I don't want this. Is there a real update on samsung messages being discontinued?

No. I doubt samsung is discontinuing messages. It does that with my ultra 24, i just put the app in a deep sleep.

Of course. I know it can be annoying 🙄 i disabled it. You can uninstall it as well.

They're ditching it for Google Messages as Google Messages has RCS which is better for messaging people

Samsung Messages is at end of life.

I dont want to use google messages, its terrible in comparison, and you can no longer delete it from the phone. Last update reinstalled google messages and you need to disable it to go away.

Only problem is the phone keeps reminding me to upgrade, it's not an upgrade., well maybe the rcs is but Google message is terrible, has a lot les functionality to it.
