Google messages slowed down after security update

For some reason my Google messages have been slowed down after the most recent security update and I don't know why. If there's a fix please tell me.

I got the jan 22 Google message uodate other day no idea why the delay may want to check yours

I just got an update today and mine is fine. Maybe try restarting your phone of you haven't already.
