Gray bar in middle of s24 screen (split screen?) won't go away

Hi, I just got a new Samsung galaxy s24 and after a couple weeks of owning it, a gray bar that runs horizontal to the phone has appeared in the middle of the home screen. It has 3 dots in the middle of it, but you can't interact with it. I think this may have to do with split screen, but I disabled that and all multi-window functions. If I restart my phone it goes away, but comes back in the same hour. Could someone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it?

It does sound like split screen. A screenshot would be useful.

The options you disabled are only disabling quick ways for you to open something in split screen. It doesn't disable split screen functionality.
