I have an S24 and an auto memory cleaning hasn't happened on it's own in more than 90 days. I've been trying to find out how to do one manually but haven't found any info on how to do that. Also my S24 hasn't done an auto restart in more than 60 days on it's own or during a scheduled restart for a specific time. How can I get either/both of these actions done on it's own or manually?

Sorry to hear that. Mine works perfectly except when I happen to be using the phone anywhere near the scheduled time. Manual optimization can be done at any time, as well as hitting the closing all apps button on the recent apps screen. Rebooting can also be done manually, although I realize automation is better.

If it's not working, I recommend putting in an error report to have the issue addressed.

Enable "restart on schedule" then pick time and day for it to run.

Mine doesn't work as well. I have a schedule and it fails to see that.

That's the same as what mine is currently doing. I can set the schedule for ten minutes from now or ten hours from now, it will not do an auto restart or an auto memory cleaning. Not sure if any previous updates has caused this setting to become inoperable or this is in preparation for the new UI7 version or if neither is the case. Thank you for replying, at least I know mine is not the only phone not utilizing this setting.

Try clearing the device care app cache = go to device setting > apps > device care > storage > clear cache.

The auto optimization will not take place if your phone is in use at the scheduled time (if on a scheduled restart).  If set to restart when needed, it will not restart unless the phone has been idle for at least a half hour.  At any time, however, you can do a manual optimization and restart of your phone.  To manually optimize, go to Device Care and hit the "optimize now" button.  Then restart your phone.  If the phone is not auto optimizing, you still should manually restart your phone at least once a week. Have you wiped the phone's cache partition? Leftover bits and pieces may be preventing the auto optimization process.
