New UI 6.1 Feature: Allow 5G service (or not)

I've been waiting for this feature to hit the US versions of Samsung phones, and it has arrived with UI 6.1:  Option to restrict switching to 5G.

Kinda buried in: Settings | Connections | Mobile Networks  is a new toggle to restrict the data from switching to 5G : "Allow 5G service"

My network connections are marginal on all cell networks: AT&T, Verizon and T-MO.  So, my phone would keep switching from 4G (LTE) to 5G and vice versa whatever network service I chose.  During each switch, we lose connectivity for a few ms. (more than a few).  The international versions have had the option to restrict 5G for ever.  (Guess the  US networks hate this) 

But now, UI 6.1 brings the option to the US phones.

Interesting, not on my S24U, locked to US Cellular

AT&T unlocked user here.

AT&T removed that option years ago.

Don't have it on my S24U.

Also don't have it on my S23U (updated to 6.1).

What's your carrier ?

I just updated my samsung s22 to UI 6.1 says I should be able to toggle 5g on and off, But I don't have that feature- I followed instructions.. I am not sure if its because 5g isn't offered in my area

Not for for me option removed unlocked s22 ultra "5G"
