I thought I would share some of the experience I've had with the new S24 Ultra but it appears there is no longer a way to write a review. I'm automatically routed to a purchase page encouraging me to buy an S24 Ultra. I feel it's important folks have an understanding of the good, bad and ugly of the device before making their purchase. Hopefully interested buyers will take a moment to search social media for valuable information they can use to determine if this phone is right for them.

You know I really wish that I could afford these brand new devices like everybody else or even putting them on credit. It's funny I can go get a $20,000 car loan but I can't get approved for a phone lol and I'm sorry but these prices for the phones are just too expensive it's ridiculous. I'm still functioning on the Galaxy A71 5g because these phones are just to high in price and all for some low end updates. Cuz I'm sorry but the whole s23 or 24 that's coming out literally does the same thing that my phone does now except it's got a better camera and AI whoo whoopty doo.

So like everyone knows now that the colors are washed out on the s24 ultra. But I found out thats its not only that. It's also lower quality than the s23 ultra even though it's on the highest resolution if u zoom the pictures u can see the quality of the application 

Colors on Instagram on the s24 ultra goes high contrast on its own . 

Can't customize aod.

Navigation bar can't disappear. Because

Your "Quality" comparison is unfair.  you are zoomed in farther on the S24.  Also the screens use different tech, so your camera may be interfering with/causing the differences.

The Navigation bar issue is fixed with Good Lock/NavStar.

I've had my S24 Ultra now for about two days, and I'm gonna have to say that I'm very disappointed in Samsung. I think Samsung rushed this phone to market to be able to bragg about the AI features. But, most of those features are a bust. I've tried several times to use the AI features of the stock voice recorder and nothing works. When I make a recording and the use the AI feature to convert it to text or summerize it, nothing happens. I made a 13 second recording and the conversion to text gets stuck on 29% completion and goes no further. 

I also noticed that tha camera has a few bugs. If I use the 200 mp lens, snap a Picture at 5x, the AI feature of the photo processing over compensates the colors. The color gets dark and in some cases there is a green tint to the photo. 

I'm also disappointed in the screens dull washed out colors. You can't make and changes on the display settings from vivid to natural. I've always picked Samsung phones because of how their screen color popped out. Not anymore. 

However, this seems to be just the lock and home screens. Web sites and open apps seem to be looking good. I've always picked Samsung phones over Apple because of the customizable features that Android OS and Samsung offer over IPhones. But lately it seems Samsung is following the path of Apple iPhone ms and taking away some of these customizable features. For the price I paid for the Samsung S24 Ultra I'm very put out about how a few software engineers seem to think that they dream up is what I would want. Samsung, if it ain't broke please don't screw with it!

I'm equally disappointed that Samsung decided to try and fix something that wasn't broken: gesture navigation. Up to One UI 6.0 it was great... swipe up here, go home. Swipe up here, go back. Easy! But with One UI 6.1 Samsung changed it to a bunch of chaos: swipe up on the bar to home; to go back, swipe in from the side... but not from the corner because that calls up Google Assistant! It's a mishmash and I truly hope - are you listening, Samsung? - that gesture navigation will go back to the way it was with the next security update, along with the promised software patch to fix the washed-out colors.
