Probably not:

• It is missing a modern eye detect autofocus for animal and human that is not limited in 50MP mode
• There is no smart shutterspeed limit that you can set according to the expected subject movement, but uses a faster speed when the scene suddenly gets brighter.
• Real RAW support was removed in the beginning of 2023
• ExpertRAW is a total fake since it's out, producing images that look like 8 bit colorbanding jpgs and no real raw files.

Don't trade it the s24 ultra it's bad I regret it now much better the 23ultra.

Hey friends. So I made a post like a day or two ago saying that I was going to receive my Galaxy S24U and was going to compare it with my S22U to see what the fuss is about. Well that's exactly what I did, I would like to share my findings. So I see exactly what everyones talking about, I went in and out of a few apps, (YouTube, Samsung TV, my own photos) and the s22U does seem punchier, and it's very noticable. Reds, blues and greens pop out like lazers, almost neon looking, and yes it does make the S24U look dull in comparison. But then I took a picture of a box (with both phones) that my motherboard for my gaming PC came in. The box is black and red. After comparing the photo of it on both phones, I realized the S22U makes it look far more neon red, than it actually is, and the S24U was almost perfect, just how it looked IRL. While the neon color is very pleasing like eye candy, it wasn't realistic at all. It seems like that's what Samsung goal was, to make a more realistic image vs one that's more artificial. Now I still think it's weird for them not to give us choice and include both viewing options if it was possible, but it's certainly not the end of the word for me at least. I get why people are upset though. It's not a deal breaker for me and I still want to keep the phone, but it would be nice if it was possible to have the best of both worlds. What do you guys think?

I think that if I want Natural colors, I'll turn on Natural mode... On my S23U that is, which I'm keeping after having returned my S24U due to all of these beta product issues. Pretty ridiculous launch.

To Samsung: Wait until March next year (like it was just a few years ago) and release a finished product.

I had the S23U and now the s24U, and it is hands down the best phone screen I have ever used! I love the flat screen. I actually use adaptive color tone because I find it actually works, unlike my iPhone, iPad, or Mac, which true tone makes everything more yellow and un natural to my eye.

In terms of the vivid vs. natural, it is really overblown. Samsung is trying to reach a more color accurate and natural display than the over saturated images everyone has been used to since the inception of Samsung smartphones. Lol. So I think it is change people aren't used to. Personally, I like the more natural tones.

Either way, Samsung knows the issue and has officially said they will release an update to fix it so vivid is more vivid. So all these people rushing to return their phones may be prematurely judging something that will be fixed and may regret the decision to return and lose all the sweet deals they got on pre-order?

But I think if people actually carefully examine the screen, its amazing. The anti reflective coating is awesome. I have been waiting for an AR coating on Android for a long time, and I welcome it with open arms.

Compared to the s23 ultra, the s24 looks dimmer because of the AR coating. But if you look at the color balance, white balance, and overall image quality, the s24 ultra is a huge upgrade.

I love this phone.

I heard that the whole fix of the vivid display was just a lie from an agent. There was an official statement from Samsung that the display looks the way it was intended and is the way it is, that were not getting a fix. Idk what to believe anymore tbh

My issue isn't the color accurate photos, which I agree with. Photos of objects should look like they do IRL.. I can also deal with less punchy colors .....my issues is: the dim display and lack of vividness. Colors don't have to be neon to be sharp and pleasing to me, but contrast and sharpness and brightness need to be there, which the display is lacking. Ive set 2/10 as my deadline. If not update by then, returning s24 "ultra".. oh and I had the s22 ultra before as well... Loved it
