The new location for the voice input button is unusable. It was far better in it's location above the keyboard where a thumb could actually reach it. It is extremely against the android mentality to lock the location down in this way. Many people across the forums are complaining about the same thing. I am very disappointed, please fix this.

To add the g board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11kgrUZbMtA

to find the microhpone icon: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S24/Samsung-keyboard-voice-input/m-p/2789075#M2357

As for the original poster - there's not a way to change it, just gonna have to get use to it or like realud said use the g-board.

This can be annoying for me especially when I play games and the keyboard is cutoff so I can't even use voice to text

Switch to G-Board, the mic button is in the correct place.

I can't even find the microphone button after the last update. Also, I have no option in settings for any keyboard other than the Samsung keyboard.

You have to download the G-board (or any other keyboard you fancy) before keyboard switching options will appear.

Seconding this. I'm right handed and want it in a location I can easily select one handed (aka when most likely to need it) and customizing its location let me find the perfect place for it in my keyboard before so it didn't interrupt my typing under normal circumstances. I dislike the policies for Gboard so switching isn't a good option for me. Please just go back to letting us customize it's location; the new location is a headache and I've accidentally hit it 10 times today just trying to TYPE normally, don't start acting like the "holier than thou" apple developers.

What G-Board policies?  The alleged key tracking?  How else are you going to get predictive text and spell check?  You think the Samsung keyboard doesn't have the same policies?  Also, if you have any objections at all to ANY Google product/policy, then you should not have an Android device.  If you have a Google account, you have already agreed to Google's policies. And, if you have an Android phone, you must have a Google account.

G-Board has the ability to put the mic where you want it, but you are free to download any other keyboard in the Play store.

The work around is to download a third party app.  LOL why not just let the people do what they want?

Unless/until Samsung changes their mind on the location, a third-party workaround *is* the solution.  The bottom line is if you want to be able to control where the microphone is located, you need to switch to a different keyboard.  It does not have to be G-Board.  Others use SwiftKey, and there are other keyboards in the Play store.  It is not mandatory to use the Samsung keyboard and never was.  People are free to have their preferences.  If your preference is for the Samsung Keyboard, you will have to live with its current and future designs.
