Galaxy S24To add the g board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11kgrUZbMtA
to find the microhpone icon: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S24/Samsung-keyboard-voice-input/m-p/2789075#M2357
As for the original poster - there's not a way to change it, just gonna have to get use to it or like realud said use the g-board.

Galaxy S24You have to download the G-board (or any other keyboard you fancy) before keyboard switching options will appear.

Galaxy S24What G-Board policies? The alleged key tracking? How else are you going to get predictive text and spell check? You think the Samsung keyboard doesn't have the same policies? Also, if you have any objections at all to ANY Google product/policy, then you should not have an Android device. If you have a Google account, you have already agreed to Google's policies. And, if you have an Android phone, you must have a Google account.
G-Board has the ability to put the mic where you want it, but you are free to download any other keyboard in the Play store.

Galaxy S24The work around is to download a third party app. LOL why not just let the people do what they want?

Galaxy S24Unless/until Samsung changes their mind on the location, a third-party workaround *is* the solution. The bottom line is if you want to be able to control where the microphone is located, you need to switch to a different keyboard. It does not have to be G-Board. Others use SwiftKey, and there are other keyboards in the Play store. It is not mandatory to use the Samsung keyboard and never was. People are free to have their preferences. If your preference is for the Samsung Keyboard, you will have to live with its current and future designs.
