Within the past week my phone has been glitching. It's pressing different things when I'm not even touching the screen and the only way to stop it is to turn off and back on again. Don't know if it's a system update or something else. I've had the phone at least 2 yrs. Anyone else having this issue?

Hello, Welcome to the Community. We know how frustrating screen glitches are.

@Charkatak made a good suggestion to run the diagnostics in the Members app.

There are additional steps you can also try.

1. Test the phone in Safe Mode to see if there may be an app causing the glitches. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

2. Also, try clearing the cache partition and repair apps in the recovery menu.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.

3. Try turning on Accidental Touch Protection https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00083344/

4. Lastly, trying doing a backup and factory reset of the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If the phone screen continues glitching, we recommend having the phone serviced. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
