Hi I'm thinking of buying a brand new and (what looks to be) sealed Samsung s24 ultra off of facebook marketplace, however, I feel like it's dodgy in a way, they're selling it for $1000+ cheaper than what the stores sell it for, it is tempting, but I want to see if I can verify it before getting too serious.. it looks legit, but I'm no expert in phones, I am looking at upgrading from a redmi note 11 which is a terrible phone, so it will hopefully be a big upgrade if all is well. I would appreciate all the advice and help I can get. Thank you

For $1,000 less than typical? I'm sure it's either stolen or it's a fake. Ask the seller to provide you with the IMEI number to see if it's been put on the blacklist.

Here where I am it retails around $2100 for 512gb, not sure what type of storage the phone has, so if its 256gb I assume its just 2k? Where can I verify the imei number, and how can I tell the person selling it, where it is?... I apologise for asking a lot of questions ":)

They do list that it's an unwanted christmas gift, but there is definitely a big risk...a lot of 'groups' around where I am, so it definitely could be affected.. 😞

If you're in doubt, that's your gut telling you don't do it. I wouldn't buy from them if I have doubts. Especially if you cannot return it to them.
