Front facing camera freezes when using it. Only shows a still image and updates every few seconds to a new image. It either freezes completely and crashes or continues with the lag. Unable to look through front facing camera at all because it freezes on what it's looking at for 10 seconds at a time. A factory reset fixes it but once there's an update it breaks again. It's frustrating considering how much the phone costs. I'd love to show it off and promote the phone to friends and family but I feel as if I'm showing people a broken product. It's an awful feeling having something brand new that feels like you bought it used because something isn't working on it.
I've seen several posts on here regarding this issue with no update.
Samsung, please don't let this continue and give some sort of acknowledgement.
Mine also doing it, I have spoken to Samsung who did a factory reset. It worked fine for a bit but now doing it more and more. Only repair option given by Samsung as also having Bluetooth issues.
I'm also having the same problems. Samsung talked me through all the reset/cache clear , safe mode, software update blah blah but have now said I've to file an error report through samsung members app... doesn't bode well. Never had any issues like this with a Samsung phone. This bit of kit is too expensive for stupid stuff like this to wind me up.
I also have this very same issue with my new S24 Ultra. Mine is the 512GB version. I'm curious if that plays a role in this issue. I also switched from my Note 10+ using the smart switch feature. I'm also curious if that plays a role. Probably not though since a factory reset doesn't seem to fix the issue for others. It is definitely a software issue though because when I use the diagnostic test for the camera, it does not experience any issues. Only when using Samsung's camera app do I get the lagging and freezing.
I had mine repaired at an authorised service centre. Worked as normal for around 3 or weeks. As soon as I did an update, the problem was back again. Come on Samsung, this is really taking the Micheal. A very expensive phone and it doesn't work properly for a number of people. Not happy at all. When will you fix it? It's been going on for months.
