I am trying to decide if this new issue with my wife's phone is phone related or SIM related. Lately her phone keeps losing its ability to receive data through the mobile data radio. The only way to get connected is to reboot the phone or put in airplane mode and then back out. The fact that bring the data connection back makes me feel like it's a hardware issue and not Sim related. I haven't tried a new SIM card, reset network seeing, it factory reset yet because the issue started a couple days ago and well today makes the 3rd occurrence so need to try and isolate the issue.
Any suggestions from the community?
*Phone is fully updated with the Nov 1 security update as of yesterday.

You should get a new SIM to see if it works. If it does not, it is a hardware problem.

Try disabling 5g and connect to lte service only. 5g may get slow data speeds during congestion
