Samsung Should Keep Al Features Free - Especially for Flagship Devices

I only recently realized that Samsung plans to start charging for Galaxy AI features in 2026, which is frustrating considering I bought my S24 Ultra without knowing this would happen. When we’re already paying $1,300+ for a flagship phone, AI features should be included at no extra cost—at least for flagship devices, if not all Galaxy devices.

 Samsung has more than enough resources to keep these features free, but it seems like they just don’t want to. Other companies are making AI a core part of their experience without charging extra, so why should Samsung treat it as a paid add-on after just two years?

 If you agree that Samsung should keep AI free for flagship users, or at least reconsider making it a paid feature, post about it and let them know. The more people speak up, the better chance we have of getting them to change their decision.

The basic AI will be free its only the more advanced AI that will be a paid subscription from my understanding I think it should be a paid feature since they have to pay for the Servers and everything handling the requests from the AI

Do you know which ones might be free and what might be paid?

I'm not sure at the moment but since they are the ones providing it and paying to keep it running with servers and everything required it should be a paid feature for everything that can't be ran on the phone

Yeah, that's what I thought too but I don't understand why they do this, especially to the flagship phones when we pay so much for them.

And server maintenance and everything is expensive to keep the AI equipment running and since the Flagship phones get 90% of the AI compared to the A models which get the basic features the flagships use more

True, but they are a multi-billion dollar company.

And that equipment isn't free or cheap to maintain

Yes, but they are keeping it free so far and are still growing meaning they'll been fine to keep it free.
