Samsung Should Keep Al Features Free - Especially for Flagship Devices

I only recently realized that Samsung plans to start charging for Galaxy AI features in 2026, which is frustrating considering I bought my S24 Ultra without knowing this would happen. When we’re already paying $1,300+ for a flagship phone, AI features should be included at no extra cost—at least for flagship devices, if not all Galaxy devices.

Samsung has more than enough resources to keep these features free, but it seems like they just don’t want to. Other companies are making AI a core part of their experience without charging extra, so why should Samsung treat it as a paid add-on after just two years?

If you agree that Samsung should keep AI free for flagship users, or at least reconsider making it a paid feature, post about it and let them know. The more people speak up, the better chance we have of getting them to change their decision.

No, you are paying for the hardware and technology that goes into making a premium phone.

You should make a post about it to make Samsung more likely to implement it!

Anything that will use cloud based services will incur fees.

It's not confirmed yet. And they don't need to do that. They are a multi-billion dollar company that is currently growing even though the features are free, for now. Therefore, they'll be just fine keeping it free.

They don't *need* to do anything - including giving you AI at all. They are in business to make a profit. It doesn't matter how much of a multibillion-dollar company they are.  Should Apple be giving away iPhones because they are a multibillion-dollar company?  Should every new version of Windows now be free because Microsoft is a multibillion-dollar company?  Get real.  You have a real choice here - buy or don't buy.  That goes both for the phone and the AI features that they will charge for in the future.
