I hope this is the right place to request that the separate app sound feature be modified to allow more than just five apps to be chosen! It's a great feature but I learn the hard way that it's limited to specifying five apps on your phone. Please consider increasing that number. Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish with the separate app sound?  As I understand it, that setting is so that you can get sounds from some apps while the speaker is in use by another audio source.  If you are just trying to have different sounds for different app notifications, that's a different setting.

So my understanding is that if I'm listening to music on Bluetooth speakers or earbuds etc then sounds from those apps will not interrupt the music - they will just play on the phone. That seems to be the pretty clear intention of that feature once I understood it. Just don't understand why they leave it with only five apps! Understanding the verbage for this feature is very confusing in my old man opinion.

My guess is that they leave it at 5 apps, because what would happen if all the sounds were playing at once?  That's cognitive overload and there's really no reason for it.  I guess you will have to choose the 5 that are most important to you.  My personal opinion is one app would be fine, as some people like to listen to music while they are on the phone.  This appears to be the most common application for the separate app sound, so 5 apps would be a little overkill.  I don't use the feature myself.

Well, there are all kinds of apps on my phone that I would prefer not to interrupt music. For example this morning the garage door app sounded on the Bluetooth speakers. There are other system utilities and apps in my case that fit the bill. Anyway, the number 5 seems a little arbitrary. Guess I should be thankful for understanding it in the first place and for the five!
