Silent notifications while driving

In my previous car (2016 Prius), if I received an email, SMS, or similar notification, I'd get an audible notification on my phone. In the LE, nothing. For some notifications, I get a popup on my watch, but no audible.  How do I get an audible notification while I'm in the LE?

Maje sure driving mode didn't automatically activate.

Uncertain what you mean by "driving mode."  The manual gives 4 modes - Normal, Eco, Sports, Custom.  None refer  to notification sound.

I meant on the phone. Sometimes it automatically enters driving mode when connected to the car. Check to make sure the mode has not been activated. It usually turns off all "distractions".
