Galaxy S24Even if you were resetting your Samsung account password, they would send it to your phone number - if your old SIM is locked, you need to get a new SIM with the same number from your carrier. Any new SIM would not be locked.
Let me be clear here:
1) IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR PASSWORD WAS ON YOUR OLD PHONE, WHEN YOU GET A NEW PHONE, YOUR PASSWORD DOES NOT EXIST, YOU MUST CREATE IT.
2) AGAIN, PASSWORDS ARE NOT STORED WITH BACKUPS, SO ANY RESTORATON WILL NOT RESULT IN THE PHONE BEING PASSWORDED.
3) IF YOU ARE TRYING TO REMOTE RESET THE PASSWORD ON THE OLD PHONE, AND THE OLD PHONE DOES NOT WORK, THEN THERE IS NO NEED TO DO THAT--THE PHONE IS DEAD AND UNUSABLE. JUST DESTROY/RECYCLE IT.
