Why do my videos and images say they need to be resized when I try to send it to someone via messages? It will reduce the quality by a TON. It'll ask for videos to be resized when they're only 1-2 minutes long. I have to send everything with the quick share link option because of it which doesn't always work for the person I'm sending it to.

I guess it depends on what the original resolution was.  I don't know if you can manually set the reduction level.  I have found, in the past (completely by accident), that just cropping a thin portion of the photo's edges, reduces file size greatly without decreasing resolution (assuming, of course, there is nothing important on the border).

It depends on how you are trying to send it.  Email and text have file size limitations, so you would have to reduce the picture.  You can share a full resolution photo in Google Photos or by putting it in a shared drive such as Google Drive, Drop Box or any other large file sharing service.

Thats what I have been doing, I just never have had this issue before. I know when sending files it reduces it a tad but it's reducing it by so much that it looks like I took the images on flip phone
