What does Early Access entail in regards to the VIP plan?

I bought samsungs vip, and was wondering what does early access mean for upcoming phones 

Will I get the phone ahead of launch ,a few days after, or is this gonna be something else

It says early access to events and promotions is all I see I believe you will get a email a few hours before a event or promotion starts so you can order before everyone else
