Galaxy S25Just got the s 25 ultra. I have deleted all the apps I could that it came with and only downloaded 5 apps.. like Instagram, Facebook msger, etc. It's telling me that I've already used 43 gigs. 19 of them are for apps and 18 of them are for the system.. it doesn't make since. Can someone tell me what's going on please.

Galaxy S25Because Apple... I mean Samsung figured out they can turn storage into currency. That's why they no longer have SD cards and require a payment plan for cloud storage.

Galaxy S25Storage has cost money since the dawn of time. I am old, so I still remember paying over $100 for a 100MB hard drive for my computer. That is Mega Bytes, not Giga Bytes.
You can always save the monthly cost of having cloud storage by NOT having cloud storage.

Galaxy S25There are certain features and apps that can be cleared of all of their respective caches and data and even disabled. For example the AI Core system function, and depending on how it is used can be over 4gigs of data, One can clear the cache and the data then disable that feature. But then the AI function native to the device will be near useless ( I do not know the ramifications of disabling this will do, so that is u to the user to disable). One can always use a third party app I guess. It all depend on how much of the storage one wants available and what is acceptable to disable to meet that amount.

Galaxy S25Do you seriously think the Operating System doesn't take up any space at all? That apps don't take up space? Fourteen to 18 gigabytes is a pretty standard size for an operating system on any branded phone. Samsung may be a little larger than others because it has more features and customizations, and the S25 has more - do you expect that that does not take any space? Also, apps have caches and data and they expand and shrink depending on usage. That accounts for the math not adding up. It seems to me that you still have plenty of space to add whatever you want.
