Howdy!
- Do Not Disturb is TURNED OFF.
- No Modes or Routines are running (there aren't any setup).
- Sound is on.
- Vibrate is on.
- No icons or app badges show up on the top.
- The apps that I am testing with I have confirmed that notifications are turned on.
- All the options are selected for the notification options (Lock Screen, App icon badge, Notification pop-up).
- This happens if the phone is sleeping or awake.
- My old phone is still using Wi-Fi and notifications work fine on that one (other than messages and phone cause that's tied to the SIM). Turning off the old phone and waiting a few minutes and trying on the new phone, same thing happens.
- If I open the offending app, I can see the unread messages.

Galaxy S25I tried the DNS change to see if that would make a difference, but it did not help. I've tried all the suggestions in this thread. Setting battery mode to "unrestricted" did seem to resolve the issue for at least one app that was having problems, but it did not resolve it for a couple others. The only thing that has worked for all the apps (including the one that was resolved with the "unrestricted" setting, thus making that not needed for that app) is the "adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable" command prompt. Download adb tools from here:
https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools
Unzip and put contents in a root directly, like c:\adb. Run a command prompt ("cmd" from windows menu), go to the adb directly you created (cd c:\adb). Plug your phone into your computer, and type "adb shell dumpsys deviceidle disable" at the c: prompt. Your phone needs to have developer options enabled, and then USB debugging enabled within that menu. You also have to allow the computer to access the phone with an on-screen prompt that will appear after you connect your phone.
Since doing this a few days ago, I've had zero issues. It needs to be done after every reboot unfortunately. All this I'm talking about is specifically for app notifications that are delayed until immediately after you unlock the phone (or until you plug it in for charging). I've also read the Doze Stopper app can resolve the issue, but I'm guessing it gives the phone a brief wake every minute or so rather than actually disabling doze like the adb command. It would be a simple solution for those not comfortable going the adb route, although it is pretty simple if you know how to access/use cmd in windows.

Galaxy S25You are correct. Doze Stopper is waking the phone every minute so my notifications are still delayed by at least a minute. Not exactly ideal for certain things like home security and automation.

Galaxy S25I just checked out Doze Stopper to test it out, and I couldn't get it to work for me...notifications delayed until unlock on the problem apps I have. Back to adb deviceidle disable for me.

Galaxy S25I am going to repeat myself, there is no way how to achieve same behaviour with notifications as in OneUi 6.1 or earlier UI. As I mentioned compared S24U and S25U next to each other with enabled option in S24U and this is the root cause. Forget about anything else.
Option Show even while screen is off is the exactly what is missing in OneUi 7.0 in Notification style in Context Menu
That option enabled causes/allows display to turn on while is locked after each notification which you set up in Notification options, meaning if you decided to show all details for all apps or you decided differently per each app does not matter it shows the way you decided per your decision.
Without this option, only way how to wake up display is to enable AOD with option turn on with each new notification, but you will able to see just the icon of the app that you receive notification from. Not a content.
My workaround is to wear watch(where you get all details the way how you set it up in G Wear), in my case Watch Ultra works perfectly, the fact that OneUi 7.0 does not allow you or offer you this option is no longer issue for me, I just wanted figure out the root cause.
I hope I am understandable. š

Galaxy S25This isn't the issue a lot of us are facing. We're not getting any indication that a notification was ever received. No icon on the AOD, no screen wake, no nothing. Once we unlock the phone, all of your notifications come in all at once. For me, it can be up to 50 or 60 of them. I don't need the screen to wake, I just need to know that I received a notification by looking at the AOD.
I did take the time to learn how to use ADB and ran the command to disable device idle, and this is making my phone work as I expect it to. I get AOD icons, and use Glimpse to wake the screen for Google Messages.

Galaxy S25Nothing works with glimpse I tryed it out. Still notifications from X and discord not shown or massively delate.
I want it like before on my s23u that AOD is off and only shows on Notification. With my s25 ultra I am loosing all important Stuff this is not acceptable.
For now doze stopper seems to work quite OK but still some delay on X notifications.
I hope Samsung will get a fix on this soon.
