New S25 Ultra - Notifications not working

Howdy!

Received my new S25 Ultra yesterday, set it up via SmartSwitch. Everything transferred correctly but none of my notifications are working. 
 
Zero.
 
I have gone though forum postings that other people have posted looking for solutions and most of those has been DND or a routine turned on blocking notifications. 
 
Things I've checked:
 
  • Do Not Disturb is TURNED OFF.
  • No Modes or Routines are running (there aren't any setup).
  • Sound is on.
  • Vibrate is on.
  • No icons or app badges show up on the top.
  • The apps that I am testing with I have confirmed that notifications are turned on.
  • All the options are selected for the notification options (Lock Screen, App icon badge, Notification pop-up).
  • This happens if the phone is sleeping or awake.
  • My old phone is still using Wi-Fi and notifications work fine on that one (other than messages and phone cause that's tied to the SIM). Turning off the old phone and waiting a few minutes and trying on the new phone, same thing happens.
  • If I open the offending app, I can see the unread messages.
Other than wiping the phone, skipping the SmartSwitch and starting from scratch, I am not sure how to move forward.

I found out the reason. I didn't get any Gmail notifications, and after I updated Gmail App, I've got all of them. 

Try to update apps manually.

Unfortunately all my apps are up to date and I still either have a huge delay, or I don't get notifications at all

Have you tried to uninstall updates from the Apps menu, delete cache and data. Then try and run the update again from the Play Store. 

I was able to get my Gmail working this way - still having issue with some other apps.

I also have this issue. Got my S25 Ultra yesterday, set up using smartswitch and transfered everything from my Z Fold4. 

 

Zero notifications happening on phone also not getting to my watch.

I'm also having issues with notification on my S25 Ultra. I'll get some right when they come in but sometimes I won't get any for a while and then when I go to unlock my phone a bunch will come in all at the same time. This is a huge issue.

Just got my s25 ultra(united kingdom) .same issue but it seems only to be google apps not recieving notifications.everything else is fine.

Same issue here. SmartSwitch from S24U to S25U. Everything is on in settings on the new device. Identical to the old device. Notifications are coming through on the old device. None on the new one.

This happens to me almost every time I use Smart Switch. While the new device carries over credentials and settings, notifications often do not work and if they do, all apps use the default sound. I usually can solve by clearing data for each app and setting it up again. This has worked also when Google restores your apps after a reset.

Same problem here, coming from the S23U. Several apps won't even let me set up push notifications. E.g. if I try to set up push notifications from the Reolink app for my cameras, it tells me "Loading failed. Click to try again".
