On my new S25 Ultra when I go into Google photos to edit a photo, as soon as I start an edit function (like brightness, saturation ,etc) the photo immediately darkens. Then I have to edit it with the darkened photo and it saves it like that. It makes no sense. Impossible to edit photos .  I've tried turning adaptive brightness on and off, vivid vs standard, screen refresh rates. Nothing works. This is the feature I use the most and I am decapitated. Really frustrating spend all this money on a phone and I can't even edit a photo properly.

You would need to contact Google, it's their app that you are using.

I believe it has something to do with the Galaxy S25 Ultra screen settings though.

I tried doing a screen recording of what the issue looks like, and it didn't darken when video recording was activated. So it's something with the screen I believe.

I have this exact problem when trying to post on Instagram with my S25 Ultra. I can visually watch the screen darken and watch the photo darken with it. When I tried tk screen record, it didn't do it, so I believe it has something to do with the phone too. It makes it very hard to show a proper photo.

It's definitely something going on with Google photos. I experience the same thing but on my OnePlus pad 2, or else Android on general.
