S25 Ultra Update will not install, refers to Smart Switch

S25 Ultra won't perform first rollout update. Gets to 2 percent on update and install then tells me I need to do it via smart switch on a computer. Tried restarting and powering off.

Try what?  Clearing the cache or smart switch from a computer? To use Smart Switch from a computer, you must first download the Smart Switch for computer app.  Then you have to connect your phone via USB cable to your computer.  If your computer does not have a USB-C port, you have to have a USB-A/C adapter.  For best results use the cable that came with your phone.  Once the phone is connected, open the smart switch app on the computer and tap the menu dots and check for updates.  If one is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.  While you are in the app, take the opportunity to make a complete backup of your phone, so you at least have a base backup of all your important stuff should anything happen.

🙏 That was really thorough friend. Reminds me of when I had to update my BlackBerry via the computer before OTA updates was a thing. I do not miss those days. I was really curious to know how the smartswitch update works, never used it before. My S25U update worked without a hitch.

While you were using smart switch to update your phone did also preform a back up of your device. Samsung cloud backup will not backup your photos
